ATÖLYE Architecture was founded in 1998 by H. Sinan Omacan and Didem Teksöz. During its early years, the practice focused on renovation and restoration projects. Since 2002, it has increasingly specialized in archaeological site projects, renovation and adaptive reuse, public space design, and architectural competitions. ATÖLYE Architecture has regarded the implementation process as an integral part of design. This approach has enabled the practice to successfully deliver projects involving diverse challenges—such as time constraints, budget limitations, and construction complexities—by treating these constraints as design inputs rather than obstacles. Today, ATÖLYE Architecture undertakes projects of varying scales and types through its core team, complemented by a network of interdisciplinary collaborators with whom it forms flexible partnerships as needed.
