AŞIKLI HÖYÜK SITE CONSERVATION PLAN AND SHELTER HV+T
According to the pre-planned Site Conservation Plan for the Aşıklı Höyük Archaeological Site different methods of Conservation and Exhibition were set for different parts of the excavations. One of these methods was to cover the “HV” and “T” ruins with a shelter called “HV+T”. The importance of the “HV” and “T” ruins is that, they are thought to be associated with public and sacred functions, which differentiate from the common ‘residential’ context of the area. The HV+T Shelter, on one hand aims to supply the ruins of mud-brick with necessary climatic and sun light conditions, on the other hand to prepare these ruins, which set very rare examples among the Central Anatolian Neolithic Period excavated areas, for exhibition and visitors while emphasizing the spatial perception of the “HV” and “T” structures.
