KAYSERİ FORTRESS PRESERVATION / RENOVATION AS ARTS &CULTURAL CENTER

The aim of the proposed project for the “Two Staged National Architectural Competition for the Transformation of the Kayseri Inner Fortress into Arts and Culture Center Through Preservation“ was to bring out the historical and spatial potential of the Kayseri Fortress remains. Taking into consideration this  monumental building’s central position and importance in rich daily life of the city,  the main idea of the design is to lay the groundwork for the production of culture and arts by creating a multi-programmed social space. ATOLYE Architecture won the honorable mention with its proposal.
