    LABRAUNDA LABORATORY BUILGINGS

The Laboratory Buildings on Labraunda Archaeological Site,  were built to provide the archaeologists with a much needed working space to assess and examine the archaeological findings. Since the buildings were located on the archaeological site, creating low visual and structural impact was the preliminary design objective. The foundations were made of gabion walls and the structure was as light as possible to prevent excavation and concrete pouring on site. The wooden structure is filled with gas concrete walls and the exterior is also covered with wood veneer.
